Offline / Online - an introduction September 30, 2011
That might not sound too different from a normal blog, and thats properly right. I've spend a lot of time on my previous blogs turning into me talking in depth about my stuff and my life. The result has been that I end up not really writing much, particularly as Twitter has taken over for the most part as a better narrative of what I am doing (isn't that the old skool version of what twitter is for?).
Still, my use of Twitter has changed somewhat, I tend to use it now as a link sharing tool, as public chat, as a dump for various online activities. It's the latter that I'm looking to post here as a way of giving more context over what I'm posting online, and to have a more central archive of it all. To start with, I'm using a great new service <a href="http://ifttt.com">If This then That</a> to post from my Flickr and Youtube as I upload. I hope it won't just be auto posts though, that I'll come back to edit them to give a bit more context, or post other short notes of various things of interest. I'll also try to post short links to things I'm going to or interested in, rather than have it as a 'write up afterwards' space.
Lets see how this develops.
